A FAMILY ADVENTURE

Jardins du Rivau en famille

At Château du Rivau, your children become the heroes of their very own fairytale. Dressed in their finest princess and knight costumes, they set off to explore the fifteen fairytale gardens. You will embark on a family epic in the heart of the gardens, awarded the “Remarkable Garden” label, where the maze and each giant sculpture become the setting for an unforgettable adventure. Discover it with the help of a game booklet.

Inside the château, the Metamorphoses at the Rivau exhibition brings History to life as a captivating adventure, where both young and old delight in uncovering the secrets of the past through the lens of contemporary art. This playful immersion invites you into rooms where each space reveals a different facet of History, experienced at Château du Rivau through a sense of wonder and discovery.

From garden to plate : La Table des Fées embodies our vision of slow tourism. It offers authentic “garden-to-table” cuisine, where seasonal produce takes pride of place for a healthy and affordable family lunch after your adventures. Or step into the tearoom, where fruits and herbs from our gardens are transformed into delightful sweet treats.

We recommend allowing at least 1.5 to 2 hours to fully appreciate the many facets of Rivau, stroll through its 15 fairytale gardens, and visit its five furnished rooms.

Is Château du Rivau accessible with a pushchair?

The gardens, with their natural gravel or unpaved paths, are accessible, as are the other outdoor areas and the audiovisual trail in the Royal Stables. Due to a protected cobbled entrance path, access can be more difficult at this point of the visit, but assistance is available on request.
