Plants of the undergrowth

Guarded at the entrance by the iron dragon designed by Claude Pasquer, the magical world of the undergrowth, unfolds within, under the watch of the forest’s guardian sprites. From March onwards, hellebores light up this garden, followed in mid-April by clusters of bright bluebells.

In summer, the canopy of tall trees does not allow enough light through for flowers to bloom. Instead, old nursery rhymes fill the forest with music, while the many garden gnomes and artistic birdhouses are there to make you smile.

In autumn, pink carpet of Naples cyclamen, a fragrant perennial with tuberous roots, colours the Enchanted Forest.
