Constructed in the 15th Century by Pierre the Beauvau, the Great Chambelan of the King Charles the 7th, Rivau Castle was visited by Joan of Arc and Rabelais. This medieval private castle is animated by more than 380 art-objects. In the royal stables, an exhibition on Francis the 1st, last of the knight-kings, is shown. The Castle was renovated over the last 15 years by today's owners, the Laigneau family
